Very close to the place is situated the town of Nesebar. Although it isn't big Nesebar is rich in attractive sights. It possesses huge and valuable history and is one of the most  picturesque places in Bulgaria.
In this old ancient town there is a huge number of churches - 41. Of course , not all of them still have the full glamor, as there were created , while the Christianity was entering the territory of Bulgaria. The basilica on the sea coast itself is one of the oldest in the country, built around the 5th century. The most magnificent of the churches in Nesebar is situated in the center of the town Old Bishopric and the older churches " St. Yoan", "St. Stefan", "St.Todor" and others are a beautiful monument of Christian culture.

Besides the beautiful and interesting temples you should pass by the famous windmill between the old and the new town of Nesebar. Another sight  is the Sweating-bath and the houses of Nesebar and the cobblestone streets ,crossing the old town, are a pleasant place for a walk.

Because of its huge history, lots of archaeological sights have been found in Nesebar for years. That's why you should visit the Archaeological museum of the town, where you can easily get a new stamp in your "Hundred tourist sights in Bulgaria" book.
